Lawn Fawn - Sprinkled With Joy Gift Card Holder (Video)

Hi everyone. Today I'm over on the Lawn Fawn blog and YouTube channel and for this project I'll be using the Sprinkled with Joy stamp set that was release last year, but it is still one of my favourite sets to date so I wanted to use it again this year and I'm going to also be incorporating a gift card inside the oven too, to give it a little extra use for this holiday season.

The video is linked down below.

I hope you enjoyed my project today, I love finding ways to incorporate a gift card in for Christmas cards, it gives a little extra surprise for those who receive it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll catch you next time!

Christmas Card Series 2017 - Day Two (Video)

Hi everyone, Eloise here for Day Two of my Christmas Card Series of 2017. Today I'll be using the Trimming The Tree and Say It's Christmas stamp set from Clearly Besotted to create a simple scene card.

To begin my card today, I stamped, coloured and cut out my images from the Trimming The Tree set. I set them off to the side and worked on my background. I used a piece of 2" post it tape, cut a snowy hill with some scissors, adhered it onto my piece of watercolour paper and ink blended some Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean over the top and blended it out smoothly towards the edges of my panel to make it feel like it's faded into white.

Next, I adhered my images onto my background with some foam tape. Then I used the Say It's Christmas stamp set and stamped the 'Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year' sentiment onto the top right hand side with black ink. Lastly, I popped up my panel on a piece of fun foam and then onto a card base that I covered with some navy plaid paper from Lawn Fawn.

The video is linked down below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll be back soon with Day Three.

Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2017

Hi everyone! Today I have some tags to share with you all for the Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist for 2017. I am so honoured to be apart of this this year! I'm supporting Pretty Pink Posh this year along with my mentor Carissa Wiley, who came up with the theme for snow for these tags, so I create some simple scene tags with using water splotches and also layered sequins to create a snow effect.

For my tags today I started out with the Stitched Duo 1 Die Set and cut out six tags from some watercolour cardstock. Then, I used some Distress Oxide Inks and ink blended Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans onto 3 of my tags. I then splattered them with water and dried it with a heat tool. This was the first way I incorporated snow into my tags. Such a simple effect, but gets the job done.

Next, I stamped out my images from the Winter Woodland stamp set and coloured them in with a variety of Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then used the remaining three tags that I die cut earlier, cut them down using the Stitched Borders 1 Dies and then stamped 'For You' from the Everyday Greetings stamp set on each piece with black ink.

Next, I used some Sparkling Clear Snowflake Sequins and adhered them onto the backgrounds of each of my tags. Then I used some Silver 4mm Sequins from the Starry Night Mix and adhered them into the centres of my snowflakes. Then to finish off my snow look, I adhered some Clear Droplets around the background too. This was the second way I incorporated snow into my background and these clear snowflakes are just perfect for the simple touch!

To finish up my tags, I first adhered my sentiment piece with foam tape at the bottom of my tags. Then adhered my holly branch and fox with more foam tape. I punched a hole at the top of each tag and threaded through some Silver Hemp Cord from Lawn Fawn and also tied a bow in some white ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure you head over to the Ellen Hutson blog to see my mentor Carissa Wiley's tag - she created an amazing one, I absolutely love it!

Catch you all next time!

Craftie Cafe - Whale Hellon There (Video)

Hi everyone, Eloise here for Craftie Café and today I’ll be using the Whale Hello There stamp set from Memory Box along with the Waves Dies from Avery Elle to create a summery Hello card. I’ll also be using some Distress Oxide Inks and Lawn Fawn Glitter to help create the card.

To begin, I stamped the images from Whale Hello There with black ink onto some watercolour paper and then used some Mijello Misson Gold Watercolours to colour my images in. Once I coloured my images, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Next, I took a piece of blue cardstock, but you could use white and used four colours of Distress Oxide inks in CrackedPistachio, Broken China, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans to ink blend a gradient onto my paper. I then flicked on some water, picked it up with a paper towel to create a water splotch effect and then dried it with a heat tool. Next, I lined it up on the Waves dies from Avery Elle and ran it through my Big Shot Machine.

I then poked out all the inner pieces of my background die and put them to the side to save them for a later project. I then decided to coat a piece of white cardstock with double sided adhesive and pour over some Prisma Glitter from Lawn Fawn, burnish it in with a bone folder and my fingers to create a sparkly, glittery background for my waves. I then added adhesive around all four sides of my waves background and adhered it over my glitter background. I used foam tape to adhere all my images into place, then whiteheat embossed the sentiment from Whale Hello There onto a strip of blackcardstock. I adhered that also onto my panel with more foam tape. Lastly, I adhered my panel onto a white card base and that finished up my card for today.

Pretty Pink Posh 25 Days of Christmas Tags (Video)

Hi everyone, today I'm helping Pretty Pink Posh participate in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags by Tracey McNeely. For these tags, I'll be using the new Winter Woodland stamp set along with a few other stamp sets and the Window Frames dies to create some shaker tags.

To start off my tags today I used the Window Frames dies and cut them both out nested together four times from some light grey cardstock. I then used the largest die and cut out twelve white bases and also four pieces of acetate. I adhered the acetate to the back of the light grey pieces, two each of the white bases together, so I would have a nice back and front and for the last of the white ones, I cut little snow banks.

Next, I ink blended some Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress Ink onto the white pieces to create a nice background for my tags. I then splattered some water on top to give a little water splotch effect. I then adhered my snow banks to the bottom of them also. For my sentiment I used the Everyday Greetings stamp set to stamp 'For You' onto each of the top of the tags with black ink. Before assembling my tags, I punched a small hole at the top of each of the tags for the twine to be threaded through. I then added a layer of foam tape behind the grey frames and then added some Starry Night Sequin Mix on top of my tag base and also some Sparkling Clear Snowflakes. I then removed the backers of foam tape and adhered them onto my bases.

Next I used the Winter Wonderland, Reindeer Games and Winter Woodland stamp sets and stamped and coloured a few images from each. I also coloured a ton of Santa hats from Reindeer Games as I love adding Santa hats to all critters! Once I finished colouring with Copic Markers I die cut them all out and adhered them flat onto the front of my tags. For a finishing touch I added some green twine through the holes of my tags and finished them off with a red bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you were inspired to make some shaker tags!

Craftie Cafe - Merry Christmas (Video)

Hi everyone, today I’m back with a card for Craftie Café using the new WPlus9 Christmas Rose Bouquet and My Favorite Things Snow Globe Sentiements set. I’ll also be using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to colour in my large bouquet today also.

To begin, I stamped my large bouquet image from the Christmas Rose Bouquet stamp set onto some Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock with black ink, then clear heat embossed over the image also. To colour in my image in, I used various colours of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush. I scribble the colour where I want it to be darkest, then I pull that colour out with a water brush. Once I coloured my entire image, I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. Next, I used some Distress Inks to ink blend onto another piece of watercolour cardstock. I used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean to ink blend into the centre of the cardstock, then I used a paintbrush with some water to move the colour around. Then used a paper towel to mop up the edges to create a light blue watercolour base for my flower to be adhered over the top of.

I used foam tape to adhere down my flower to the base, then took the Snow Globe Sentiments set from My Favorite Things to white heat emboss the simple Merry Christmas sentiment onto some black cardstock. I cut it down into a strip and adhered it with foam tape also. To finish off I adhered my panel onto a piece of black and white striped patterned paper and then onto a card base.

The video is linked down below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I’ll catch you next time.
